[F15030]. John WEBSTER.
He was an early settler of Ipswich, Massachusetts. He married Mary SATCHWELL [F15031] in 1624 in Suffolkshire, England. He was a “valuable citizen.”
[F15031]. Mary SHATSWELL (SATCHWELL).
Born about 1605 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England; daughter of John SHATSWELL [F30062] and Judith [F30063]. She married (1) John WEBSTER [F15030]. She had three brothers who also moved to Ipswich, Massachusetts, and were “proved worthy men.” They were John, Theophilus, and Curwin Shatswell. Her brother, “John Satchwell” wrote his will Feb. 1, 1646 and granted “To my Sister Webster about Leaven yards of Stuff to make her a Sute and alsoe a young Heiffer thought to be with calf.”
She married (2) John EMERY. There appear to be many differences in reporting about whether or not Mary Shatswell had children by John Emery. Savage notes some of this, Vol 2, p. 119.(S3).
She died on Apr 28 1694 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.
