TROAS, King of Dardania, and Callirhoe Ilium

HUSBAND:
TROAS. King of Dardania. (TROS). [Familytree].
Born about (1314 B.C.-S?)(1281BC-S8); son of ERICHTHONIUS and ASTYOCHE ILIUM.

Often said to be King of Troy, but the city state of Ilium, which became Troy, was founded by his son ILUS. He was King of Dardania.

He married CALLIRHOE ILIUM.

He ruled from 1366-1326. (S7).

He died about 1281 B.C. (S?)

WIFE:
CALLIRHOE ILIUM.
Said to be the river nymph of Greek mythology.

CHILDREN of TROAS and CALLIRHOE ILIUM:
  1. ILUS, King of Troy. [Ancestors]. King of Troy. Born in 1251BC. He married Eurydice. He moved south to the area of Troy and founded the city and state of Ilium, which became Troy.
  2. Assaracus, King of Dardania. [Ancestors]. King of Dardania. Ally of the Hittites at the Battle of Kadish in 1285 BC, according to an Egyptian text (which?). He stayed in Dardania and inherited the kingdom from his father. His child was Capys of Troy of Greek mythology.
  3. Ganymede. (S9). In Greek mythology, Ganymede is a divine hero whose homeland was Troy. He was the son of Tros of Dardania and of Callirrhoe, the daughter of the river god Scamander. His brothers were Ilus and Assaracus. In one version of the myth he is abducted by Zeus in the form of an eagle to serve as cup-bearer in Olympus. (S9).
