James Hamblin, Sr. and Anne Scott

James HAMBLIN, Sr.
Born about 1606 in Devonshire, England; son of Giles HAMELIN and (miss) ASHLEY.

He was of London or Devonshire, England.

He married Anne SCOTT in 1628 in London, England.

He and his wife Anne emigrated to New England in 1639 in the ship Ann. They settled at Barnstable, Massachusetts.

He died apparently in 1690 as his will was probated 22 October 1690 at Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.

WIFE:
Anne (Anna-S3) (SCOTT-S5).
Born about 1608. She was of St. Lawrence, Berkshire, England. She married James HAMBLIN, Sr. in 1628. She came with him to New England in 1639, and they settled at Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. She probably died in Barnstable.

  4. James HAMBLIN, Jr.. Born 10 APR 1636. He was baptized 10 April 1636 at St. Lawrence, Reading, England. He married 20 November 1662 to Mary DUNHAM. He died on 3 May 1718 at Tisbury, Dukes County, Massachusetts.
  5. Hannah HAMBLIN.
  6. Bartholomew HAMBLIN. He served in Captain John Gorham's Company in King Philip's War. For this service he received a grant in the town of Gorham, New HHHampshire.
  7. John HAMBLIN. Born 30 June 1644 in Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He married Sarah BEARSE in August 1667 in Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He died in 1718 in Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts
